The release of Call of Duty: Vanguard is rapidly approaching. Activision is giving us additional information about the game. Last month, we received a slew of intriguing details, including the multiplayer option, which piqued our interest right away. Here’s the new trailer for the story:
Long-time fans of the series, on the other hand, will remember the epic campaigns, and Sledgehammer Games guarantees that the game will live up to them. It does this via a compelling story that follows the five heroes of the worldwide Task Force One special forces as they confront a dangerous foe. Five individuals with extremely diverse personalities, but one common goal: to win the war. Let’s take a closer look at each one.
Arthur Kingsley, Sergeant
Task Force One’s soul and commander is Arthur. He studied at Cambridge University before entering the British Army. He was born in Douala, Cameroon. He grew up in a household that promoted multilingualism, so he speaks five languages and grew up listening to his mother read novels to him, including The Three Musketeers, which he considers to be his favorite.
Kingsley is a natural leader who defies conventional military norms and works hard every day to defend and respect his colleagues. Arthur is a kind, warm-hearted, very sympathetic guy who enjoys a calm, tranquil existence. At the same time, he is aware of the world’s ills and is committed to fighting the Nazis and the harmful ideals they propagate.
Polina Petrova is a Lieutenant in the Russian Army.
Polina Petrova, a native of Stalingrad, battles with zeal to protect her country, the location where she spent her youth and where she has fond recollections of hunting excursions with her father. Operation Barbarossa, the Axis assault, threatens all she holds dear. He takes his mastery of the bow and arrow to the battle.
Polina’s tale is one of vengeance and retribution for the losses she has suffered. She doesn’t say much and just when it’s necessary. Polina is motivated by a great desire to free her house, which she demonstrates both verbally and physically. She battles to the death for a country free of Nazi invaders, driven by a thirst for vengeance.
Lucas Riggs, Private
Lucas Riggs, the son of an Australian sheep farmer near Melbourne, likes acting over speaking. He and his family spent their childhood herding flocks and grazing sheep, but when Globe War II came out, he jumped at the chance to join the army and travel the world while fighting evil.
To his supporters, Riggs is a gentle giant, frequently the group’s heart and soul but never seeking the spotlight. To his foes, on the other hand, he is a ruthless and frightening warrior, a guy of brute might who also specializes in explosives. A dedicated soldier who prioritizes his colleagues and his nation.
Wade Jackson, Lieutenant General
Wade Jackson is a native New Yorker who prefers the air to the ground, a born Brooklyn acrobat who is always the first to jump into a fight, particularly when his family’s dignity is on the line. A prodigy who couldn’t fit in with the rest of society.
He grew up as a daredevil, a fan of speed on the road and in the air. He got his pilot’s wings after joining in the Navy and became a force to be reckoned with in the Pacific. He is a dynamic and vivacious individual who thrives on a challenge and strives to be the best. Despite being a lone wolf, he recognizes the importance of capable team members as long as they do not come in his way.
Richard Webb, Sergeant
Sergeant Webb is Arthur Kingsley’s right-hand man and buddy, a man born into an educated, intellectual family who, at a young age, decided to follow in his parents’ footsteps and pursue a career as a university professor. Richard believed that because of his thesis, he would be excused from military duty. But the draft was obvious, even if he grudgingly accepted it.
Despite the fact that he recognizes his country’s need for him, he does not consider himself honoured to serve; rather, it is a task he does with the hope of one day returning to his former life. Webb is a careful and calculated guy on every deployment, despite the appearance of combat glory. His intellect always drives him to make the best choices, despite the fact that it may make him obstinate at times. Webb is at a turning point in Operation Tonga, and we learn why he joined Task Force One in this operation.
SS Oberst-Gruppenführer Hermann Wenzel Freisinger is the main antagonist.
In the Vanguard campaign, the ambitious Nazi officer becomes our arch-villain, an arrogant member of the Berlin Gestapo renowned for his SS interrogations and who is implicated as the mysterious Phoenix Project’s hidden architect. He was born into a rich family and has always had a strong desire to join the military, which has led to a successful career.
Freisinger began his career as a police officer before joining the Gestapo, where he rose through the ranks like a comet. He was a vicious and cunning commander who used every trick in the book to acquire the information he wanted, both from friendly and hostile sources. The Phoenix project is Freisinger’s ultimate aim, and he will do all in his ability to see it through.
The game will take us to various World War II locales, including the Soviet Union, Western Europe, the Pacific, and Africa, with a varied mix of ethnicities. They start their operations individually, but eventually join forces to fight the Axis powers and Project Phoenix, a shared adversary. On November 5th, Call of Duty Vanguard will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox X Series X|S, and PC.
