Why You Should Kickstart: Somewhere Under The Rainbow | Launching October 21, 2024

In the world of gaming, there are few titles as memorable as “Somewhere Under The Rainbow.”

The 6siege is a story about a man who has been through a lot in his life. He has lost friends, family, and loved ones. In the end, he finds himself in a place that he never thought he would be again- home.

This is the latest installment in our Why You Should Back Somewhere Under The Rainbow Board Game Kickstarter series. The combination of the theme with the various mechanics seems to be a winning combination. On October 21, 2024, the game will be released on Kickstarter. On Kickstarter, there’s a board game called Somewhere Under The Rainbow.

1. In a few words, how would you define your product?

Somewhere Under The Rainbow is a 2–4 player abstract strategy game in which you play as a winged inhabitant of Glistening Grove and participate in the mysterious process of generating beautiful rainbows. It’s a hybrid of several known concepts, such as set collecting and grid movement, with three-dimensional triangle movement adding complexity. It’s a fun spatial puzzle with simple controls and easy gameplay!

2. Introduce the team responsible for bringing this product to market. What is your history, and how did you come to start this?

Our names are Lara and Kiwook, and we’re the creators of Tickle Bear Games. We both have a business background, but we enjoy all elements of tabletop gaming, including board games, roleplaying games, and more. We founded Tickle Bear Games three years ago out of a shared love for the pastime and the desire to create games that appeal to all types of players.

3. How would you compare your game to other games?

Because of the colorful tiles and set collecting element of the game, playtesters and reviewers often likened Somewhere Under The Rainbow to Azul. Although the nature-themed artwork and lighthearted narrative of making rainbows are similar to Everdell, the fundamental gameplay of Somewhere Under The Rainbow is really unique. Players are presented with a unique three-dimensional spatial challenge by the triangle movement in a multi-layered grid. Also, don’t forget about the plungers!

4. What distinguishes your game from others?

The plungers, triangular grid, and vertical stacking of tokens for that “rainbow appearance” are just a few of the distinctive features of Somewhere Under The Rainbow. It’s a charming game set in a mythical universe where you play as a small winged creature gathering unicorn excrement to create rainbows! That is a very uncommon game concept.

5. How can everyone be certain that they will get high-quality components and that you will keep all of your promises?

We’re currently in discussions with a few respected Chinese manufacturers, all of which have a track record of creating a wide range of popular titles for both Kickstarter and retail. To prevent any misunderstanding during fulfillment, we kept the pledges as simple as possible by keeping them simple and without providing superfluous expansions or add-ons. We’re also concentrating on not overextending ourselves and just making commitments we can keep.

6. Why should someone support your initiative?

Somewhere Under The Rainbow is a lighthearted strategy game with a charming concept and stunning visuals. Its basic rules make it an excellent introduction game for newcomers to the pastime, but it still has enough intricacy and strategic depth to appeal to more experienced players.

We’re happy with it!

A committed design team provided excellent insight and excitement. This seems to be a bright and colorful abstract strategy game suitable for gamers of all ages. It has obviously been led by enthusiastic hands and seems to be a high-quality product. And anything with the wonderfully sounding phrase “tasty points” can’t possibly be terrible.
