Uncharted Director Amy Hennig Working on New Narrative-Driven, Blockbuster Marvel Game

Amy Hennig, the director of Uncharted and The Last of Us has been working on a new title for Marvel’s PlayStation 4. With her experience in action games, she is poised to bring a different kind of story telling to the franchise.

Amy Hennig is the creative director for the new game. She’s worked on games like the “Uncharted” trilogy and “The Last of Us.”

Skydance New Media has announced a partnership with Marvel Entertainment to create a new game based on the latter’s enormously famous superhero world. The announcement is particularly thrilling since Skydance is directed by Amy Hennig, an award-winning writer and director who worked on Naughty Dog’s highly acclaimed Uncharted titles. Hennig worked on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception as the game director and creative director, respectively.

Skydance New Media, the award-winning interactive division of Skydance Media, announced today a partnership with Marvel Entertainment to develop a narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure game with a completely original story and take on the Marvel Universe, led by award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig. This is the first project from Hennig and Julian Beak’s new AAA gaming firm, which was founded to pioneer a new category of story-focused interactive entertainment—a pioneering merger of games, cinema, and television.
