With a new array of Star Wars-inspired PC game storage devices, Seagate and Lucasfilm have teamed together to take gaming to the next level. The Beskar Ingot Drives are the first of these, SSDs that resemble a Mandalorian iron ingot with an Imperial stamp clearly displayed on the surface. Seagate’s Beskar Ingot PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD will be available in 500 GB and 1 TB ($159.99 and $259.99, respectively), the SATA SSD in 1 TB ($159.99) and 2 TB ($269.99), and the external HDD in 2 TB ($99.99).

According to Seagate:

The PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, Seagate’s fastest M.2 2280 SSD, delivers sequential read/write performance up to 7000/6850MB/s, which is nine times faster than SATA-based SSDs. It also has a stylish heatsink for maximum installation flexibility and performance. The SATA SSD’s small 2.5-inch form size offers for a variety of installation and design choices. Gamers may customize the RGB LED bar on the external HDD to light up their battlestations. This external drive is small and light, with simple plug-and-play compatibility, allowing gamers to carry their whole library with them on the go. For gamers’ piece of mind, the new drives come with a five-year guarantee and three years of Rescue Data Recovery Services from Seagate.

“We are thrilled to bring one of the world’s most popular series to the forefront of every gamer’s battle station,” said Jeff Fochtman, Seagate Technology’s Senior Vice President of Business and Marketing. “This partnership will appeal to a wide range of people, including gamers, PC builders, and Star Wars fans.”
