New World October 28 Patch Notes (Update 1.0.4)

The patch notes for the New World are now available, and Update 1.0.4 is available as of October 28, 2024. Due to a UI glitch that mistakenly said taxes would be cut as part of the first housing discount, players who bought a house early are in for a pleasant surprise, as Amazon Games pays these players with 2,000 Coins. That’s not all; scroll down for a complete list of the New World October 28 patch notes for Update 1.0.4.

The Everfall starting beach has been removed for new players and people rerolling fresh characters. The removal of this place is intended to direct players to the other three locations, increasing the likelihood of new players beginning in the same areas as their friends. Outpost Rush, in particular, is currently online and will continue to roll out to all areas throughout the day.

Aside from the aforementioned modifications, there are hundreds of bug and performance updates, including a new Faction token maximum of 50%. The increased token limit will enable players to save more effectively for following Faction tier products, which has been a popular request from the community.

Changes in General

To maximize the likelihood of new players and friends being able to start together, the Everfall beginning beach was removed in order to funnel new players via the other three sites.

The first-time homebuyer’s discount lowers the buying price but not the taxes. The user interface, on the other hand, showed that players’ taxes would be cut, and it was only when they purchased the home and needed to pay taxes that they learned they had to pay full price. We’ll provide 2,000 coins to each player who bought a residence before the UI update was released.

Within Wars, performance has increased somewhat.

Changes to the passive abilities Mending Touch and Blissful Touch enhanced the Life Staff’s performance somewhat.

We fixed an issue in version 1.0.3 that caused firms to lose money as a result of controlling numerous territories or failing to declare war. We are reimbursing lost coin earnings with this upgrade.

The Faction token limit has been raised by 50% for each Faction tier. This update was created so that players may earn more tokens even if they’ve reached the reputation limit and wish to save up while striving to progress to the next Faction tier. The updated values are as follows:

Fixed an issue where players’ Faction token caps were not rising after completing their faction’s rank-up missions.

Fixed a rare bug that caused global time to jump ahead or behind, creating a variety of problems throughout the globe.

In Cutlass Keys, a bug was fixed that caused players to lose their residences.

Fixed a problem with foes dropping treasure in Myrkgard Corrupted portal occurrences.

Fixed an issue with the boiling cauldron housing item that caused an undesired animation, as well as an issue with the ladle object not appearing in the player’s hand when interacting.

Fixed a bug where players may get rings with two benefits that shared an exclusive perk label but shouldn’t be on the same ring.

The projectile visual was missing from Ice Gauntlet and Ice Pylon attacks due to a bug.

After fast traveling, players were unable to accomplish a variety of game tasks. This has been fixed.

HYPOTHETIC FIXES

The remedies and mitigations described below are just suggestions. Our objective is to get these changes out there and see if any problems arise so that we can keep working on them and solve them in a future version if required.

Fixed a War exploit that allowed players to take rally points without suffering damage by using area of effect (AoE) magic spells. The War performance and Life Staff performance changes should help, but we’ll keep an eye on it to see if problems persist.

We’ve addressed numerous recognized sources of invulnerability in players. This is a key priority for our team, and we’re still looking for solutions to the problem’s other causes.

We’ve speculatively solved the problem that caused players to get stranded after exiting Outpost Rush. This was a unique problem that our team was unable to duplicate. We’ll keep an eye on things as the rollout progresses.
